my Yarka travel easel

Yesterday I cut a piece of teak to make a little platform on my smallest travel easel, the Yarka, that will allow me to work on small canvases. I find that I need to additionally cut some grooves in the board to hold the canvases in place.

my Yarka with the little platform I created to hold small canvases it fits perfectly, but I need to cut some grooves in it that will hold the canvas in place it will be a perfect height to work with

I’m determined to avoid buying anything new if there’s any way at all that I can make due with what I have. I’ve had this easel for so long they’ve since gone out of the business of making them.
